you can get twist there easy to put in and easy to take a loose, or you can go with just the natural flow and get your hair treated and wrapped and just wear your hair short or long that all I know unless you get tracks added in sewed or glued i perfer sewed and still look good

Just leave it natural, I don't think there are other ways but beside adding braids or dreads. But if you don't want nothing of that, just protect your hair from the sun and bad weather. Always have it clean, don't use to much chemicals.

If you have curly hair, then just leave it that way, I think it looks really pretty. Use products specially made for curls to coax them into looking their best.
