I permed my hair last august, and I don't want to anymore. Is there a way to not break my hair

I really want to go back to my braids but the perm is making my hair break off, and I don't want it to break off more if I stop. Does anyone know what I can do?:

try to use the permed control shampoo and conditioner.every night u put some cocnut oil on ur scalf and massage for 5 min next day morning u can wash and must put conditioner

or, put extensions in it.

let ur new growth grow out for a couple of months and then cut it really short to where the growth starts, to get all of the chemicals out of ur hair.
